Cable Engineering

Underground and submarine cable systems, from material specification to installation and life-cycle performance.

Areas of focus

What this committee does.

AEIC cable specifications are referenced across the industry. A seat on this committee means helping write the standards your own utility and your suppliers design around.

The committee develops and publishes the technical specifications and guides that govern the quality, design, testing, and operation of medium- and high-voltage underground cable systems and accessories, working directly with major manufacturers to keep AEIC specifications the industry benchmark.
