Welcome to Roger Richmond, who joined AEIC this month as Technical Coordinator.
More than a thousand people take part in AEIC — the engineers, operators and executives who sit on our eight committees, the eight subcommittees beneath Power Delivery, and the programs of the Center for Operational Excellence. Every one of those groups carries its own leadership, roster and calendar. A small staff keeps all of it moving. Open any card to see what each person carries.
Steve sets the direction of the Association and holds its relationship with the board and with member executives. He leads a 140-year-old institution and serves as Executive Director of the Center for Operational Excellence, where the newest work is built. Decisions that commit AEIC to its membership are his.

Elizabeth sets AEIC’s technical direction and runs the Center for Operational Excellence. Her portfolio is the Association’s forward edge: the Data Framework and the move from fragmented data to analytics readiness and AI capability, executive education and AI readiness, the Grid Advancement Program, the Data Center Task Force, the Load Forecasting Workshop Series, workforce and labor strategy, and the Association’s own 140-year record. She designs the sessions members travel for, advises utility leaders through the friction modernization creates, and translates between the technical, executive and operational rooms so a problem raised in one is understood in all three. If you want a technical problem put in front of the membership, this is the door.

Roger works alongside Elizabeth across the Center’s programs. He carries the technical coordination behind AEIC’s sessions, the agendas and presenter work that make them worth the travel, and Member Spotlight recruitment.
Committees and subcommitteesWorkforce Development, Telecommunications, Grid as a Platform and Vegetation Management, including the Wildfire Mitigation Task Force. Roger also supports Steve on Electric Power Apparatus, Cable Engineering and Storm Team.
Samantha Robledo leads AEIC’s operations team. Between them they carry the administration, member services and meeting logistics behind every committee, program and event we run.
Sam leads the operations team below and carries the administrative side of running AEIC: budgets and invoicing, contracts and outside vendors. Anything you cannot place, send to Sam and she will place it.
Board administration on the Center for Operational Excellence side, the Association’s contracts and invoicing, and its financial and compliance filings. Mary also carries the lead support role for the Annual Meeting and the Strategy Summit.
Caroline supports Elizabeth and Roger, keeping every element of the committee, subcommittee and Ops Center efforts organized and the records behind them accurate: attendance, agendas, charters, leadership succession and engagement tracking. She also supports the Annual Meeting.
In-person event planning. Venues, contracts, budgets and the mechanics of getting thirty or forty people into a room and back out again, and several hundred for the Annual Meeting.
Rebeca supports Ginger on meeting planning, from name badges and materials to staffing in-person meetings.
Member engagement and the rosters underneath it, the central AEIC mailbox, and the team and event calendars. Audra is AEIC’s Member Portal coordinator.
