Safety Benchmarking

Comparing safety practice and outcomes across member utilities to raise the floor.

Areas of focus

What this subcommittee does.

Sharing the practices that keep crews safe. No utility wants to learn a safety lesson the hard way. This subcommittee makes sure members learn from each other’s incidents and programs instead.

A subcommittee of the Power Delivery Committee, Safety Benchmarking is an operational benchmarking forum for work methods, procedures, training, tools, technology, and culture that reduce occupational health and safety risk – coordinating in-depth peer reviews of member safety programs and moving significant-incident information quickly across the network.
