Their latest venture, the ‘Desert Blume’ project, represents a significant step toward a sustainable energy future. This initiative will leverage CMBlu’s innovative Organic SolidFlow™ technology to deliver long-duration energy storage in the Phoenix area. With 5 megawatts of power for at least 10 hours per cycle, ‘Desert Blume’ will complement SRP’s existing storage resources and enhance their ability to provide clean energy to customers.
Construction is set to begin in early 2025, with the pilot expected to be operational by December 2025. Stay tuned for updates on this transformative project that will drive sustainable, secure, and efficient long-duration energy storage.
