Areas of Focus

Restoration practice, built before the storm.

Major storm response is judged in public. This subcommittee is where members harden their playbooks against each other’s hardest events.

What the committee does:  A subcommittee of the Power Delivery Committee, Storm Team gives power delivery professionals a forum to exchange ideas on severe-storm restoration and to develop the tools and best practices behind it – pre-storm checklists, restoration practice, storm-center operations, and system hardening.

Who it’s for:  Storm response, emergency preparedness, and distribution operations leaders.

Focus area tags:  Storm Restoration · System Hardening · Pre-Storm Readiness · Storm Center Ops

Why get involved:

  • Harden your storm playbook against peer utilities’ toughest events.
  • Trade restoration and storm-center practice with people who have run major events.
  • Build pre-storm readiness with the whole network’s experience behind you.

Members are typically senior vice presidents, vice presidents, directors, managers, superintendents, managing supervisors, and senior emergency planners
