The Telecommunications Subcommittee is a collaborative platform for electric utility leaders and technical experts to address the evolving telecommunications needs critical to reliable, resilient, and secure grid operations. The subcommittee enhances industry alignment, shares best practices, and develops forward-thinking strategies that support the utility of the future.
The subcommittee convenes quarterly for two in-person meetings and two virtual sessions. Working groups may be formed to address specific initiatives or themes.
Members typically have expertise in telecom engineering, network architecture, cybersecurity, operations, and digital transformation. Multiple representatives per company are encouraged to ensure active participation across specialized working groups. Membership is open to AEIC member companies and select invited collaborators.
