Areas of Focus

Vegetation strategy for the wildfire era.

Vegetation risk has changed shape – drier conditions, aging infrastructure, wildfire exposure. This subcommittee moves members from reactive trimming to data-driven strategy.

What the committee does:  A subcommittee of the Power Delivery Committee, Vegetation Management advances utility-wide strategies for safe, reliable, cost-effective vegetation management against environmental stress, aging infrastructure, and rising wildfire risk – covering technology and innovation (LiDAR, drones, AI), wildfire risk reduction, data-driven planning, and environmental and regulatory engagement. It is home to the Wildfire Mitigation Task Force.

Who it’s for:  Vegetation management, forestry, and wildfire mitigation leaders.

Focus area tags:  Vegetation Strategy · Wildfire Risk Reduction · LiDAR/Drones/AI · Regulatory Engagement
