Empowering the Next Generation of Energy Leaders!

On July 25, local middle and high schoolers participated in the annual Youth Energy Academy hosted by Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC), an AEIC member company.

Students toured an OUC water treatment plant and witnessed a demonstration from OUC line technicians. In partnership with the Orlando Science Center and BAM Orlando, they engaged in hands-on workshops, learning to balance the electric grid and design hurricane-resistant popsicle stick houses.
